Herb of the Month
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a nutritional storehouse, naturally containing several
vitamins plus 18 amino acids, in addition to many other dietary factors.
It soothes the skin and the tissues lining the digestive tract. It
contains many biologically active compounds that support the digestion and
absorption of food and nourish the intestinal system.
Many companies manufacture Aloe Vera, but most products on the market have
lost much of the plants original benefits due to over-processing. Beware
of Aloe Vera that claims to have no disagreeable taste. Removing the taste
can leave you with a product that is only 10-15 percent Aloe Vera at best.

Enzymes
Enzymes are proteins produced by all living organisms and, like all
proteins, they consist of amino acids. What makes these proteins different
from other proteins is how they behave in the body. By definition, enzymes
are catalysts that make many essential biochemical reactions “happen” and
are not used up or chemically altered in the process. As a catalyst, they
help a chemical reaction take place quickly and efficiently. Some
reactions would either happen very slowly or not occur at all without
enzymes. So a little bit of enzyme can effect a big change.
Enzymes are chemicals that facilitate other
chemical reactions. Food itself is essentially just a mixture of chemicals
that are broken down by enzymes. The released nutrients are the raw
materials. Vitamins and other nutrients cannot work in the body by
themselves. They require enzymes to transport them throughout the body and
make use for them. Enzymes unlock the benefits of vitamins, minerals,
proteins, and hormones and put them to work in the body. Enzymes are the
workers and assist many biological, chemical and metabolic reactions, but
are not “alive” themselves.
Product of the Month:
Elite-Zyme Pro
Elite-Zyme Pro
represents the most potent, high activity, plant based digestive
enzyme product. With protease, amylase, cellulase and six other enzymes it
has a higher activity level then other enzyme products on the
market.
Plant based enzymes
can also replace metabolic enzymes if they are not needed for digestion.
When taken on an empty stomach, these enzymes are powerful detoxifiers.
